Jesus commanded us to “go and make disciples”. Although we have made some converts, most will agree that we have made very few real disciples. Far too many ordinary Christians struggle to take hold of basic Biblical truths and live them out. We often take a painfully long time to mature. Sometimes we seem “stuck” to the negative effects of the past. Maybe we go round and round in cycles of spiritual confusion and habitual sin. Many of us are “stuck” and completely unaware that there is freedom to discover and enjoy!

The Freedom in Christ Discipleship Course will help every Christian resolve personal and spiritual conflicts through genuine repentance so that they can take hold of the truth of who they are in Christ and move on to maturity – probably at a faster rate than they thought possible. Over a period of 10 weeks, the course sets out to:

• Explain the amazing truths of what Jesus has done in a way that Christians can connect with and integrate into their daily life
• Help believers understand the nature of the spiritual battle they are now in and equip them to overcome the world, the flesh and the devil
• Help believers take hold of the authority they now have in Christ to resolve personal and spiritual conflicts
• Equip Christians to take personal responsibility for continuing to live in the freedom gained so that they can go on to maturity and bear fruit.

Our course will commence on Monday 23 January and finish on March 26.  Each evening will involve listening to a talk followed by a facilitated conversation in small groups.  Saturday 24 March will be an important day when we are lead through the steps to freedom in Christ. This is a straightforward process that is kind and gentle. During the process participants will uncover strongholds that have developed in their thinking that they can work on in the future
