Together – not alone
God never intended that we should be Christians in isolation but has placed us in community. We cannot grow as a disciple without the encouragement and fellowship of other disciples. At Bloxham Baptist Church we therefore encourage everyone to intentionally connect with others as least once a week (in addition to the Sunday morning service).
There are a number of ways in which we can help ‘coming together’ to happen in the life of our church community:
Homegroups – gatherings of up to 12 people who meet in someone’s home for the purpose of fellowship.
Prayer triplets – small groups of usually 3 people who meet to share and pray together.
4mation Groups – groups of 4 people with the focus of intentional discipleship who meet for one hour each week to encourage, pray and be accountable to each other.
Freedom in Christ Course – from time to time we will run this course to help explore the gospel of Christ, our identity in him and how we can live lives worthy of him. Click here for more details.
Spiritual Accompaniment – our Pastor is available for one-to-one meetings with the aim of encouraging individuals in their personal relationship with God i.e. their prayer-life. This might be a one-off appointment or a series of appointments over a number of weeks, or as a Week of Guided Prayer.
