What happens in our services
We start the service together as a whole church family with sung worship intermixed with times of prayer. After about twenty minutes the children and young people leave for their activities. The service continues with more worship, intercessory prayers led by one of the congregation and the bringing of God’s Word. The exact pattern is not fixed but the key elements of sung worship, prayer and hearing the Word are constant.
Our music blends modern songs with traditional hymns. Prayer is both led and freely spontaneous. Usually our Pastor preaches the word but we are also blessed by visiting speakers and members of the church bringing the message.
We share Holy Communion on the third Sunday of the month.
Tea and coffee, biscuits and sometimes cake bless times of fellowship both before and after the service.
What about the children?
Our children and young people are all part of the service at the beginning but then leave for their own activities after about twenty minutes, rejoining us shortly before the end.
On the second Sunday of most months we have a Cafe Style service for the whole church family where all ages remain together for the whole service. This is a shorter, more interactive service designed to get the whole church interacting across generations as a family. We sit at tables and all take part in quizzes, learn memory verses, have fun and share our understanding of Jesus.
What about Grown Ups?
We focus on the Bible and Prayer in all we do. Prayer is both led from the front and spontaneous prayer from the body of the congregation is both sought and encouraged. The bringing of God’s Word is a major part of our services and this can be followed up in the week by joining one of the Home groups that meet regularly. Every Wednesday evening we have an informal Midweek meeting which has sung worship and prayer. There is a second prayer meeting every Saturday morning
