Our Roots and History

There has been a congregation of Baptist Christians meeting in Bloxham since 1662, some 50 years after the founding of the first Baptist Church in England.

Our Church building was built in 1862 and its most recent renovation was completed in 2001.

Sadly, the vast majority of the history of the Bloxham Baptist Church has been lost. We would be delighted to hear from anyone who has any information to enable us to piece together the story of this local church.

Today, although the story is largely unknown, we remain grateful to all those faithful individuals who have gone before us. It is because of their prayers and the faithfulness of God demonstrated in their lives that enables us to be here today.
